The Springboard Charity

Springboard helps young people achieve their potential, nurtures unemployed people into work, and helps alleviate poverty by supporting people into sustainable employment in hospitality industry.

  • Mission statement

    The Springboard Charity's mission is to:

    - Provide high quality, comprehensive and accessible specialist careers information, advice and guidance free of charge to all the Charity's beneficiaries;

    - Develop and deliver innovative and engaging educational resources and activities to improve teaching and learning in hospitality, leisure and tourism related programmes in schools and colleges and relevant support services to universities;

    - Facilitate excellent work experience opportunities using the hospitality industry's quality standard, INSPIRE;

    - Develop and deliver pioneering and motivational programmes to help young people make a successful transition into work from full time education;

    - Deliver tailored, motivational, and thorough job ready training and longer term mentoring programmes to help unemployed and disadvantaged job seekers of any age into sustainable employment.

  • Aims

    The Springboard Charity aims to:

    • The advancement in life and education of young people under the age of 25 through advice, training and skills courses enabling them to do work experience and develop social skills to obtain employment
    • To relieve unemployment for the public benefit in such ways as may be thought fit, including the provision of assistance to unemployed people seeking employment in the hospitality industry
    • The relief of poverty caused by disability, social or economic circumstances, by the provision of advice, training, skills courses and support
