Vita Nova is a Theatre Company supporting those in recovery from alcohol/drug addiction and providing preventative education in the wider community.
Mission Statement: To use the arts and culture, including drama and writing, to inform, educate and inspire those with particular needs, to enable them to build and maintain independent and successful lives in their communities.
Vita Nova is a theatre company that works with people in recovery from drug/alcohol addiction to: build self-esteem, gain skills and training and to educate people, primarily young people, about drugs, alcohol and related issues (including bullying, sexual health, anti-social behaviour). Vita Nova delivers workshops, projects, performances and talks across the South of England (primarily Dorset and Hampshire).
Vita Nova aims to:
- To provide issue based education for young people and the general public (DRUGS, ALCOHOL, ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR, BULLYING, EQUALITY & DIVERSITY, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ETC.) through the arts and workshops.
- To support, train and signpost those in recovery from addiction to drugs and alcohol, increasing their self esteem, confidence and skills in order that they can move on with their lives..
