Blood Pressure Association

To significantly improve the prevention, diagnosis, management and treatment of high blood pressure in order to prevent death and disability from stroke and heart disease.

This is achieved by raising awareness amongst the general population through targeted press and PR work; working with healthcare professionals to provide quality information and support to their patients; and working directly with people affected by high blood pressure to enable them to take control of their condition. As well as the general population, the BPA aims to reach specific target groups at greater risk of developing high blood pressure, including older people, people from African-Caribbean and South Asian communities, and people from lower-income groups.
