LWOB UK harnesses legal pro bono contributions to develop and support global rule of law initiatives in regions emerging from conflict and nations developing or in transition.

  • Mission statement

    To develop and grow a culture of pro bono in the legal sector in the UK and harness those pro bono resources to provide opportunities for lawyers to serve the underserved and protect the integrity of legal process globally. We use the law to improve access to justice by growing capacity in projects that promote transparency and protect the integrity of legal process. The projects that we have put forward for The Big Give involve important grassroots education work in the community in Africa, targeting Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, Rwanda and Liberia, and in the Middle East and Central Asia.

    Lawyers Without Borders UK aims to:

    • To advance the rule of law worldwide improving access to justice globally.
    • To build capacity in the countries where we work by training judges, lawyers, paralegals, law enforcement and prosecutors.
    • To grow pro bono in the legal profession.
