Federation of British Artists

The Federation of British Artists (FBA)/Mall Galleries is a registered charity with a mission to encourage, educate and promote painting, sculpture and drawing among artists working in the UK.

Founded 1961

  • Mission statement

Our strategic mission is to foster a dynamic relationship between an exciting exhibition programme and a diverse range of free creative learning opportunities for young and adult audiences. The Galleries’ educational programmes are open to all audiences and our artists are active nationwide.

We are committed and experienced in offering an active programme of FREE arts education to diverse audiences and particularly, to children and to young people from disadvantaged social backgrounds, those at risk of exclusion and the visually impaired.

The Federation is ready to implement the next stage of our transformative plan by conserving a 19th century Grade 1 listed brick-lined vaulted space of our premises and converting it into a highly valued Community Learning Centre.

  • Aims

Federation of British Artists aims to:

    • To promote the visual arts and to encourage a dynamic connection between learning and participation.
    • To reach the more disadvantaged sectors of the community.
