Merseyside Dance Initiative

As a Charity, MDI works to " The advancement of public education in the arts of dance and related arts. ", through producing and promoting dance with artists, audiences and particiipants.

  • Mission statement

    The aim of MDI is to inspire people through dance, strengthen the dance sector and provide access and support to all those who engage in dance activity (artists, participants and audiences), and find new ways of reaching those who don’t through its ethos of inclusivity.

    A strategic dance development agency committed to advancing the production and presentation of dance work that has artistic integrity, that is innovative and diverse, and that engages people creatively. Working in partnership with artists, promoters and other organisations it provides access for all people to participate in create and see dance. At its' heart is the nurturing, support and development of dance artists locally, through the effective partnerships it is building in the region, nationally and internationally.
