StreetInvest

StreetInvest exists to put trustworthy adults in the lives of the hardest to reach and most excluded street-connected children. These adults contribute to their growth and development and reduce stigma and discrimination towards them through street work: a practice based on building empowering relationships of trust with street children, where they are. This is the first critical step in understanding who they are, what they need and how best to support them.

  • Mission statement

Children call the streets home in every country of the world, where they suffer abuse, stigma and violence every day. StreetInvest exists for these children.

Our vision is for there to be a trustworthy adult in
the life of every street child, so that they are safer, better supported and valued by their communities. These adults contribute to the child’s growth and development and reduce stigma and discrimination towards them. They do this through street work: a practice based on building empowering relationships of trust.

We partner with local street child organisations around the world, to support their street work through training, mentoring and operational development. We also conduct research and facilitate data collection about street children, raise awareness of them and advocate for their rights.

It costs only £1. 00 to enable a street worker to support one more street child in the poorest countries we work in, for one more month. That adds up to just £12. 00 to support a street child for a year, which can be the first vital step towards positive change in a young life. Join us today.
