Mission statement
NYCoS is dedicated to providing high quality singing opportunities for Scotland's children and young people.
Our activities include four National Choirs for the cream of Scottish talent up to the age of 24, a growing network of Area Choirs, Mini Music Classes for under 5s and a broad range of music education projects in schools and beyond.
Singing is a powerful means of unlocking potential. As well as access to high quality music tuition, NYCoS helps 1000s of children and young people discover their talent, make new friends, have new experiences, take pride in their achievements, gain confidence, broaden their horizons, find inspiration, work hard, play hard and have fun.
"Bell [NYCoS Artistic Director] has been responsible for a revolution in choral singing. All of a sudden Scottish kids are giving it laldy... In the past 15 years, the scale and quality of the NYCoS choirs have grown exponentially... "
