  • Mission statement

The Drama Association of Wales (DAW) believes that art should be accessible to all. Through our network of local theatre companies we will help bring high quality drama to communities across Wales whether through direct participation or through audience experience. We will promote new work and through our library service we will enable groups to discover and access DAW published plays.
Our mission is to be the voice of amateur theatre in Wales, to help provide stimulating theatre for people of all ages, social groups and abilities. To offer training, build skills and opportunities within amateur theatre groups, companies and federations. We will foster opportunities for the people of Wales to participate in amateur theatre which is creative, rewarding, fun, safe and of an excellent standard. We will provide a platform for talented new writers, bringing their work to life and developing new audiences through our local theatre network. We will foster relationships and partnerships with stakeholders and members from the United Kingdom and internationally.
