Leeds Women's Aid

Leeds Women’s Aid (LWA) provides community based support and emergency refuge accommodation for women and children affected by domestic violence and women who have been trafficked into the sex industry. Our vision is that all women and children have the right to live their lives free from fear and harm. High quality, targeted services and support are offered to women and children in Leeds affected by domestic violence and sex trafficking. The range of services provided include; emergency refuges or safe houses, resettlement support, group and one to one support, confidential telephone support, drop-in support in local hospitals and children’s support. Protecting women and children from the harm that domestic violence can inflict on their lives and providing a place of safety for women who are being sexually exploited is central to our work.

    Leeds Women’s Aid’s mission is to protect women and children in Leeds from the damage that domestic violence can inflict on their lives. We will do this because we believe that all women and children have the right to live their lives free from fear and harm. We will achieve this by providing women with choices from a range of services including temporary supported housing, outreach support, telephone support and floating support.
