Charity information

Reading Association for the Blind

We are acutely aware that loss of sight is a devastating experience. Fear and failing confidence often leads sight-impaired people to cling to the safety of home. They cease to participate in the activities they enjoyed previously losing touch with friends. Social isolation can spiral into mental and physical illness. By providing a minibus transport service, users are enabled to come to our day centre from where they can enjoy a host of activities, support and friendship.
