SOS Africa

SOS Africa is a small, non-profit, charitable organisation, which funds the education and care of underprivileged African township children.

Founded 2003

  • Mission statement

The SOS Africa Charity is a small, non-profit, UK registered, volunteer-run African charity, which funds the education and care of underprivileged African township children. We guarantee our sponsors that every penny donated to the charity will be invested in the futures of the children we support - all expenses are covered by Gift Aid.

The charity was founded in January 2003 by a then gap year student, Matt Crowcombe and school teacher, Henry Matthews. The charity started by funding the education and care of one child and now supports many. We believe that only through the provision of education to future generations, can the cycle of poverty, which continues to haunt African societies, be broken.
