  • Mission statement

We believe deaf theatre has a vital contribution to make to the UK's diverse and vibrant theatre landscape and that deaf people regularly achieve great things with exceptional talent, which deserves wider recognition and acknowledgement.

Our vision is for a world where deaf people are a valued part of the national theatre landscape, recognised for the excellence of their work.

We do this by delivering excellent, bilingual performances using both British Sign Language and spoken English to be accessible to all. We nurture and showcase deaf talent, from all ages and backgrounds, and invest in future generations of artists and leaders in the theatre. We collaborate with professionals in the theatre industry, exchanging skills and knowledge, to forge new opportunities for deaf people in the wider theatre world.
