We are a professional small-scale touring theatre company based in Amble, Northumberland. The company's artistic policy is to provide professional rural touring theatre of the highest quality across Northumberland and nationally. NTC also manage The Dovecote Centre in Amble, providing opportunities to access a range of cultural events.

    To provide professional touring theatre of the highest quality, particularly to theatre-less zones in predominantly rural areas. Work which is genuinely accessible and relevant to its audience, is innovative, challenging and entertains with integrity and humour.
    In addition, providing the highest quality training and support to new and emerging theatre practitioners in the region.

    Northumberland Theatre Company (NTC) aims to:

    • To provide professional touring theatre of the highest quality to rural communities and other communities without access to professional theatre, particularly in Northumberland.
    • To provide Theatre, Cinema and other cultural and community events at NTC's new base at The Dovecote Centre in Amble.
    • To provide the highest quality training and support to new and emerging theatre practitioners in the region
