    English National Ballet is a world-class ballet company, renowned for our creative excellence, innovative collaborations and engaging ways of honouring and enhancing traditional ballet. We exist to bring ballet to the widest possible audience by touring throughout the UK and beyond.
    Our mission is to keep ballet alive and relevant to future generations by creating new work, developing new talent and engaging new audiences.

    Founded in 1950 by Alicia Markova and Anton Dolin, today English National Ballet is a Company of 67 dancers and a professional orchestra, ENB Philharmonic.

  • Aims

    English National Ballet aims to:

    • Invest in new productions creating new versions of classic ballet and developing new commissions or contemporary work, contributing to fresh repertoire for the future.
    • Develop a new generation of high quality talent - from training and developing professional dancers through to dance programmes engaging young people with ballet for the first time.
    • Develop new audiences by touring throughout the UK and internationally and through new digital, broadcast and audience development initiatives.
    • Engage audiences more deeply in our work through innovative engagement and outreach programmes.
