Village Africa is a small UK registered charity established in 2006. Its aim is to alleviate poverty in remote villages in Tanzania.
Village Africa's aim is to alleviate poverty in remote rural villages in the West Usambara Mountains in the Tanga Region of Tanzania in East Africa. Initially it is working in the fields of health and education.
VILLAGE AFRICA aims to:
- Village Africa aims to improve health through its health education seminars, its village health post and its ambulance service (3 hours trip to hospital on rugged terrain).
- Village Africa aims to improve education by building classrooms, toilets and water tanks, providing desks, stationery and sports equipment and running a child sponsorship scheme and community library.
