Citizen's Income Trust

The Citizen's Income Trust promotes debate on the desirability and feasibility of a Citizen's Income by publishing the Citizen's Income Newsletter, and maintaining a website and a library.

Founded 1984

  • Mission statement

A Citizen's Income is an unconditional, automatic and nonwithdrawable income for every citizen, paid for by reducing tax allowances and means-tested and contributory benefits. A Citizen's Income of any size would reduce poverty by reducing employment disincentives and providing a secure income floor on which everyone can build.

The Citizen's Income Trust promotes debate on the desirability and feasibility of a Citizen's Income by publishing the Citizen's Income Newsletter three times a year, maintaining a website and a library, and responding to consultation exercises and individual requests for information.

  • Aims
