Beacon Centre for the Blind

Beacon Centre for the Blind offers the finest facilities and the most caring support to people with a visual impairment in Wolverhampton and the Black Country. This includes a mix of residential, day care and community services, and we’re continually looking for ways to improve what we do. At the moment we help more than 3000 local people, and we’ll be helping more in the future.

  • Mission statement

    Beacon Centre provides a wide range of services to 4000 blind and partially-sighted people in Wolverhampton, the Black Country and Staffordshire by providing community support, resources, training, a talking newspaper, youth services day care and residential accommodation.

    With government forecasts predicting a rise of 35% on current figures for visual impairment by the year 2020, the Centre is redeveloping its site to provide a state of the art facility to meet the anticipated increased need.
