Worcestershire Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Centre

Worcestershire Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Centre (WRSASC) is a registered charity and was established in 1986. WRSASC provides a free, confidential and non judgemental service run by women for women who have experienced any form of rape and/or sexual abuse at any time during their lives. WRSASC is committed to raising awareness about the damaging effects that rape and sexual abuse can have on a women’s life and works actively to promote prevention and detection of these crimes.

WRSASC delivers a high quality and well used service. We offer a telephone helpline, face to face counselling sessions and signposting service. We have recently increased our service provision by recruiting an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) to work alongside women who report their assault to the statutory agencies. We have developed a comprehensive training programme that is delivered to professionals from both the voluntary and statutory sector in order to raise awareness and improve, through education, the quality of service that survivors receive.
