We are a UK charity working since 2003 with hospitals to improve health outcomes. We have scaled up health infrastructure at Kindoya Hospital allowing safe delivery of over 1000 pregnancies.
MedicAid aims to improve healthcare in low income countries like Sierra Leone where health outcomes are among the worst reflecting adverse outcomes for maternal and child health.
Our vision of quality healthcare is modeled on provision of relevant medical resources and sustainable health system strengthening initiatives. By ensuring optimal healthcare delivery we aim to alleviate the burden of ill-health; thus contributing to the achievement of the health Millennium Development Goals.
MedicAid Africa aims to:
- Create a conducive healthcare scene that facilitates delivery of high standard of care through infrastructure scale-up, human resource capacity, influencing policy and targeted health initiatives.
