The Fawcett Society is the UK’s leading charity campaigning for gender equality and women’s rights. We believe in a society where no one is prevented from reaching their full potential because of their gender.
Fawcett is the UK's leading champion of women's rights. Our roots are in the campaign for the vote and today our authoritative, respected and vibrant campaigns ensure that gender equality is high on the political agenda. We have been key to raising awareness of how the austerity measures have been disproportionately impacting on women, especially the low paid, and to highlighting the continued under-representation of women in senior positions across the political, public and business spheres.
Fawcett Society aims to:
- Researching the causes and impacts of gender inequality. Working to educate, raise awareness and promote solutions that will advance levels of equality for women in the UK.
