We are a social contact day centre for disabled and / or vulnerable older people serving the Boroughs of Greenwich and Lewisham. It facilitates friendships, provides support and a sense of community.

    To be person-centered.
    To enable the development of self esteem.
    To maximise on the creation of healing relationships.
    To meet the needs of disabled and elderly people, people with learning difficulties, and people who are looking to get back into work.
    To nurture community, and through doing so to have an impact on the area in which we work.

  • Aims

    The Disabled People's Contact aims to:

    • To relieve persons in the community who are elderly, solitary, sick or who have a disability by providing material, social and spiritual facilities and doing all such things as are necessary.
    • To improve the confidence and self-worth of our vulnerable volunteers, provide a safe environment for life / work experience, and facilitate their entry into education, employment or training.
    • To facilitate social interaction between adults in Greenwich and Lewisham with learning disabilities.
