Westminster House Youth Club
is one of the oldest youth clubs in the country. From the very early days in of the Boys Club in Napier Hall to the modern Youth Club we operate today, the Club has always worked with young people amongst the most deprived and disadvantaged in the country. We provide a generic youth club, after schools services, accreditation Including the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme and extensive weekend and holiday programmes.

    The principal aims and objectives of the Westminster House Youth Club are:
    • To provide a safe, educational, building based project for the young people of Nunhead and surrounding areas
    • To provide an in-house programme of activities designed to empower young people to make informed decisions and to meet their individual and group needs, by regularly involving them in the consultation process
    • To offer young people opportunities to engage in activities which are beyond the realms of their usual inner city experiences
    • To ensure that all our activities actively promote equality of opportunity for all our young people
    for young people aged 8 - 19 in Nunhead and surrounding areas

  • Aims

    Westminster House Youth Club aims to:

    • To give young people the best chance in life - giving them clear information to make informed choices about issues which are important to them e.g. Gun and Knife Crime Sex and Relationship Education
    • To offer purposeful activities at times of risk for our young people - evenings, weekends and school holidays. Sports: basketball, trampoline, football, fencing Arts: including dance, drama, art
    • To deliver accreditation to help young people find employment or enter further education Courses First Aid, British Sign Language, Fire Safety, Duke of Edinburgh Award, Food Safety
