The project is to create the Bridge Between Community Centre. All partners have come together to link up with Barry Uniting Church to create a multi-layered, multi-faceted centre that seeks to meet the needs, aspirations and requests of the community. Barry Uniting Church is situated within the Castleland Ward of Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan, at the heart of some 900 homes (the Vale of Glamorgan Deposit Local Development Plan projects 1700 homes eventually) within an area of 48. 55 hectares,

  • Mission statement

    The Mission of the Bridge Between Community Centre is to build a resilient community within the Castleland Ward area of Barry, South Glamorgan where individuals who currently feel dis-connected from Society can become engaged, involved and empowered by issues that they have identified as being important to them. The Centre seeks to become the focus for that involvement in creating, developing and sustaining a vibrant viable community that values all its members and seeks to support everyone where needed.

    Barry Uniting Church aims to:

    • The development Team realised that no changing facilities existed in the area for the disabled. Including this in the design of the building cost ~£75k and we aim to raise money toward that cost.
