Welbodi Partnership

The Welbodi Partnership is a small UK-registered charity that supports the Ministry of Health and Sanitation in Sierra Leone to improve the provision of high-quality and accessible paediatric healthcare. We have been working since 2007 to transform the government’s only paediatric hospital into a centre of excellence for care and training, which will disseminate ideas and skills nationwide and provide quality care free of charge to tens of thousands of sick children.

The money we raise is allocated to specific projects at the hospital; to ensure the provision of vital equipment and supplies; to support training of hospital personnel and medical students; to improve conditions of service for healthcare workers; and to strengthen hospital management and administration. We have built a unique combination of local presence and international partnerships to support improvements in child mortality and morbidity.
