Serve Africa supports internally displaced people in camps near Mbalala, Uganda. The original refugees fled the civil war. The charity has provided counselling and seen people gradually develop aspirations for their own future. Education and training programmes give individuals the skills and knowledge to obtain gainful employment, thereby allowing them to gain a reasonable standard of living.

Serve Africa aims to:
- Building a secondary school in the Mbalala area outside of Kampala.
- Sponsoring children to attend secondary school.
- Providing ongoing training courses leading to employment.
- Providing counselling and health care to the community at Kivuuvu camp and Bukunya camp.
