Southway Playcare

Southway Playcare has been running since 1997 as an After School & Junior Club and Holiday Play scheme. Providing affordable, fully inclusive safe and secure play for children to access in our local community. We have 30 children a day, it is run by a team of 15 staff and volunteers. We have provided childcare from four local schools in our area since 1997. We have grown over the years and now offer a happy secure,supportive, challenging environment enriched in creativity for locals.

  • Mission statement

    Southway Playcare provides a high quality childcare service for children from the age 4yrs-12yrs and a fun loving environment for children to play. We believe that every child is unique and has the right to play in a safe secure, warm and friendly environment.
    Meaning that we will promote a natural inclusive ethos to allchildren regardless of gender, culture, religion and ability.
    Our work supports working parents and families in our local community.
    We are an Community Incorporated Charity; we have a very strong team of Trustees supporting us. They consist of parents present and past that have continued to support Southway Playcare.

  • Aims

    Southway Playcare aims to:

    • To offer all children the chance to take part in several different types of activities together and value them in a happy, secure supportive environment, enriched in creativity and challenge
    • Foster self confidence, respect and responsibility for themselves and others helping them move the community forward and to employ local people for the future of the group and its continuation.
    • Train staff to a much higher and professional standard to provide best quality care, for all children and support those with more complex medical and physical needs.
