The 1851 Trust is a dynamic and innovative education charity committed to inspiring young people to become innovators of the future and stewards of the environment as well as introduce them to the sport of sailing.
It is widely recognised that not enough talented young people are choosing careers in science, engineering and technology.
We harness the power of sport to challenge perceptions and to excite young people about the opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).
The 1851 Trust aims to inspire and engage a new generation through sailing and the marine industry, providing young people with the education, skills and training to become innovators of the future and stewards of the environment.
