Wicked Weather Watch

WWW helps young people to understand, and act to mitigate, climate change. We provide training and resources for primary school teachers, run workshops for children using drama, music, cookery and more to teach them about climate change, and link schools to Arctic explorers to bring the issue to life.

Founded 2009

  • Mission statement

Our vision is for children to have the passion and skills they need to be responsible citizens in the world beyond school and to take small steps that have a positive impact on our local and global environment.

We inspire children and their teachers to engage with climate change, and help them to understand how – together and individually – we can more sustainably use resources to conserve our fragile planet.

We focus on the Arctic to bring climate to change to life, drawing on the personal experience of explorers and others who have seen first hand how climate change is affecting the people and wildlife who live in the region, and to demonstrate how climate change in the Arctic impacts us all.

  • Aims

    Wicked Weather Watch aims to:

    • To support teachers to understand how to integrate climate change into the primary school curriculum and provide them with the resources to teach climate change across different subject areas.
    • To reach over 5000 children each year, making climate change education fun and engaging.
