    • THE OBJECTIVES OF THE CIO ARE: 1) TO PROMOTE HUMAN RIGHTS (AS SET OUT IN THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND SUBSEQUENT UNITED NATIONS CONVENTIONS AND DECLARATIONS) IN NORTH KOREA BY ALL OR
    • ANY OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS: MONITORING ABUSES OF HUMAN RIGHTS; EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS; RAISING AWARENESS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUES; AND PROMOTING PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS;
    • 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF NORTH KOREANS GRANTED REFUGEE STATUS AND THEIR DEPENDANTS IN NEED THEREOF SO AS TO ADVANCE THEM IN LIFE AND ASSIST THEM TO ADAPT WITHIN A NEW COMMUNITY.
