Geraldine Connor Foundation

At the Geraldine Connor Foundation, we help advance the development and education of individuals in the arts, thereby developing professional and life skills, nurturing new work and talent, and encouraging and promoting equality, diversity, empowerment and inclusion in society through the arts. We do this through a number of inclusive projects, events, classes and mentorships throughout the year.

Founded 2012

  • Mission statement

The Geralodne Connor Foundation (GCF) is a charitable arts organisation established in 2012 to continue the legacy of the renowned theatre director, educationalist and musician, Dr Geraldine Connor.
GCF aims to continue her legacy by producing art that promotes equality, diversity and inclusion in society. Giving young people from disadvantaged background the opportunity to participate and experience art alongside professional artists.
We believe that creativity enriches people’s lives as participants and as an audience. It has a positive influence on people’s wellbeing and confidence and contributes to removing perceived barriers between communities. This belief lies at the heart of everything we do.
We are a unique as an arts organisation as we have no art form bias; we are led by our participants, their needs and their potential. We are truly diverse through the people we work with and in the work we produce. We see all art and culture as equal and relevant.
