Mitchell's Miracles was set up in legacy to raise much needed awareness of the early signs and symptoms of Neuroblastoma childhood cancer and provide financial grants to families of a child receiving hospital care for Neuroblastoma.
Mitchell's Miracles mission is to further educate the members of public the early signs and symptoms of Neuroblastoma childhood cancer. We attend many events to hand out leaflets, and we regularly update via our social media.
Every year 100 children are diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, and Mitchell's Miracles aim to support 100 families each year in England and Wales with a financial grant when their child has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma.
The news that a child is seriously ill is difficult enough to cope with, without the situation being made worse with money worries. We understand that parents often have to leave employment to provide the necessary care that their sick child needs and, although they are entitled to the same state benefits as other non-working parents, outgoings can soar dramatically and can leave some families in dire straits.
Our financial grants are given directly to families battling the financial effects of Neuroblastoma cancer after a child is diagnosed.
The grant can help with anything from travel costs, to household expenses, utility bills to food costs in hospital.
Mitchell's Miracles aims to:
- Raise awareness and educate the early signs and symptoms of Neuroblastoma childhood cancer
- Provide financial grants to families of a child that has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma
