Charity information
The Principle Trust Children's Charity
We provide free respite breaks and holidays to
‘underprivileged’ and ‘disadvantaged’ children, predominantly in Skipton, and surrounding towns and cities in North and West Yorkshire.
The needs and circumstances of the children and families we support vary considerably, from trauma or accident recovery, domestic abuse or broken family relationships, financial hardship, physical, social or mental disability or illness, and autism.

Mission statement
‘To improve the quality of life for young children and their families or carers, who are disadvantaged socially, physically, emotionally or as a result of extreme poverty, through the provision of free respite breaks and holidays. ’
-
Aims
The Principle Trust Children's Charity aims to:
- Positive Family Relationships. We help children and families build stronger relationships by spending quality time together away from hospital or home.
- Emotional Wellbeing. We provide the ideal locations for children to play and explore new surroundings, which helps build their confidence and self esteem.
- Physical Wellbeing. A new environment full of open space and onsite activities help children and families relax and focus on play, reducing stress and improving concentration levels.
