Dudley Counselling Centre

Dudley Counselling Centre (DCC) support the emotionally and socially vulnerable people within the MBC of Dudley West Midlands.
DCC provide free professional counselling for Adults, Teenagers and Children four days a week.
DCC provide a free three course meal and cooked breakfast twice a week, along side this project we provide community support in form of housing, benefits and substance abuse advice & signposting.
DCC work in partnership with Top Church Training to provide a community cafe.

  • Mission statement

    DCC will provide emotional support to aid vulnerable. This support will be in the form of a professional counselling service for adults and Play Therapy for children.
    DCC will support those whose homeless, poor and socially vulnerable with the provision of food, clothes and necessary advice and signposting to enable people to improve their life circumstances.
    DCC will reach out to the lonely and isolated elderly with the provision one - one and group contact.
    DCC will seek to reach out the young people not in employment or education to build confidence and purpose to improve their future prospects.

  • Aims

    Dudley Counselling Centre aims to:

    • As a result of counselling Adults will have improved emotional and mental wellbeing and will overcome depression/anxiety, have increased confidence, experiencing better relationships with peers.
    • As a result of Play Therapy children/young people, having improved their emotional resilience, will have increased confidence and self-esteem so that they can better manage traumatic situations.
    • Homeless/vulnerable people and substance users will have increased confidence, improved physical/mental health and a better quality of life.
    • Reduced social isolation/increased emotional well-being for elderly clients resulting in better awareness of hazards and improved safety in their own homes Elderly people will report feel
    • Increase youth and community connections by building young peoples capacity, cohesion and community responsibility. Teenagers will increase in personal confidence, engage in inter community
