Tutorfair Foundation

Tutorfair Foundation is an education charity seeking to reduce educational disadvantage by widening access to top quality tuition.

We work in London schools and offer on-line tuition to pupils from rural and coastal areas.

We recruit and train volunteers who provide additional tuition, free of charge, to our target students. Our tuition is predominantly in literacy and numeracy at GCSE level, however, we also provide support at key stage 3, A-Level and in Modern Foreign Languages (MFL).

Founded 2014

  • Mission statement

All our tutoring is delivered via one of two programmes:

    "In-School" and "On-Demand"

    In-school tutoring:
A traditional tutoring programme where volunteers provide a mixture of in-class, small-group and one-to-one tutoring within a specific school. Each volunteer will provide a minimum of 10 hours of high impact tuition with the students being nominated by school's teaching staff.

    On-Demand tutoring
An online platform granting GCSE students instant access to free maths tutoring. The service is available to any student during the evening and weekends and is based on a self-service model. Each student can call on the services of a maths tutor as and when they need it. There is no need to arrange a time table or book a room. This is tutoring "On-Demand": The exact help a student needs at the exact moment they need it.

  • Aims

    Tutorfair Foundation aims to:

    • Host an online workshop in 50 schools serving a rural or coastal area. Each workshop will grant an entire year group access to unlimited maths tuition, for a full year and free of charge!
    • Increase the number of in-school volunteers we can recruit from London's top universities. Each volunteer will deliver 10 hours of high impact tutoring to a group of 3 students in a London school.
