Charity information

Ghazali Trust

Ghazali Trust is a community organisation which originated in 2004. In 2012 we became a registered charity.
We primarily work within the St Mary’s ward of Oldham. The ward is within the top 2. 5% most deprived areas in England with residents having some of the poorest levels of health, and highest levels of crime. We therefore work with local residents to close the deprivation gap, health inequalities and reduce social exclusion using sporting activities, arts, workshops & community participation

Founded 2012

  • Mission statement

Our vision and why we were set up is to contribute to creating a healthy, happy, culturally and economically vibrant Oldham. Our mission is to empower and enable individuals and communities to be the best they can be, raise aspirations, remove barriers, link need to opportunity and enable people to be proud to belong to the Oldham community.

We pride ourselves on providing a wraparound provision and a large proportion of our work and activities involves using sport and physical activity as the vehicle to improve the physical and mental wellbeing, learning and development and social inclusion of the hardest-to-reach, most inactive and in need people young and old, male and female within Oldham.

  • Aims
