reMEmber (The Chronic Fatigue Society)

ReMEmber is dedicated to helping people who suffer from Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME - also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), a disabling illness which can make people housebound or even bedbound. Symptoms can include severe pain, eyesight problems, memory problems and bowel disorder. There is no cure yet; the illness can only be managed.

reMEmber's aims are better services, treatment and research, better training of doctors and better understanding of the illness generally, and we campaign vigorously to achieve these. We run self management courses for patients and carers, infomation events for doctors and others, fundraising and social events, a telephone helpline and a quarterly newsletter. Some 450 people have attended our self management courses. Our small band of workers are all volunteers; we need £15,000 a year to continue this valuable work. We are seeking a further £15,000 a year to enable us to employ a part-time administrator.
