UKLGIG supports LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration process. We run peer support groups for LGBTQI+ asylum seekers, offer legal information and advice, visit LGBTQI+ people held in immigration detention centres and advocate for improvements to Home Office policy and practice.

    • A system for determining asylum claims based on sexual orientation or gender identity which ensures dignity and equality.
    • LGBTQI+ asylum seekers and refugees are safe, accessing services, and integrated into wider communities.
