We facilitate free film, media and design craft skills and employment courses working with a range of ages, backgrounds and abilities; our emphasis is on placing students in paid work experience. We run free filmmaking projects for children and young people in our locality during school holidays. We respond to requests from local estates, schools, housing associations and surgeries in our area to create collaborative wellbeing projects in mosaic and ceramic.
Creative Sparkworks' mission is to improve, through creative skills and practices, the lives of children and young people, their economic position, their opportunities, progression and development so that they may fulfil their potential in the world today. The impact we aim for is by awakening ambition, growing self-confidence and enterprise we will enable those we work with to broaden horizons, move into employment and make a constructive mark on society.
Creative Sparkworks aims to:
- To advance young people in life so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.
- To promote the rehabilitation of young offenders and those at risk of offending through education in the arts, aiming to provide them with the skills to find employment and rehabilitate themselves.
- To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those who are and assisting them to integrate into society.
