Barnet Community Projects

BCP runs the Rainbow Youth & Community Centre on Dollis Valley Estate, Barnet. Together with partners we offer activities and services that help residents overcome disadvantage and poverty. Services are devised with local people and offer volunteering/work placements. They include: debt advice; job club; holiday lunch club; sports for children/young people; IT/art classes; counselling; training courses; toddler group; nail bar project; youth work; cafe.

    Our Mission
    Barnet Community Projects exists to facilitate long- term social improvement in the London Borough of Barnet.

    This mission is drawn from our charitable objectives:
    *serve as an umbrella organisation to help individuals and groups with the start-up of independent sustainable community-focused projects
    *benefit local communities through collaboration with statutory, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to provide local people with social activities, information and advice, and opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge
    *develop the capacity and skills of young people and others through education and employment opportunities
    *provide inter-generational community cohesion activities
    *establish community premises and maintain and manage them in pursuit of our objectives.
