The Baytree Centre is a social inclusion charity for women and girls based in the heart of Brixton, London. Our focus is on education, training, employment, health and social support measures in order to enhance confidence and self esteem and to promote aspirations, community cohesion and cultural harmony.

    Creating supportive pathways towards social inclusion for inner city families through education and training programmes for women and girls

  • Aims

    The Baytree Centre aims to:

    • To provide isolated & vulnerable women the means to social inclusion through education, integration activities and 1-1 mentoring.
    • To provide a safe, supportive space for girls to develop academically and personally through academic homework clubs; positive activities; 1-1 mentoring and character education.
    • To provide women tailored support in achieving economic self-sufficiency and learn how to support themselves and their family more effectively.
    • To provide a programme of character education that is embedded in everything we do and is shared with everyone accessing the Centre.
    • To provide support through ESOL classes; creative arts; integration activities and 1-1 mentoring to young immigrant and refugee girls who have recently arrived in the UK and have no school place.
