Charity information

Gods And Monsters Theatre Limited

Gods and Monsters Theatre exists to connect with communities who do not have the opportunity to engage in the Arts and culture by providing free, accessible theatre productions. Our primary project is a four week project called London's Free Open Air Theatre Season, now in its 15th year, which provides free and accessible shows to all Londoners at The Scoop in City Hall. Alongside this we run a number of community engagement and education projects specifically targeting people on the margins.

Founded 2007

  • Mission statement

All the great civilizations of the world are rooted in extraordinary tales of gods and monsters, heroes and heroines, good and evil. We are dedicated to sharing the myths and legends of the recent and distant past which define who we are today.

Our aim is to bring local communities together by enabling all people, irrespective of age, education, financial circumstances, physical ability or ethnic background, to access and participate in stimulating and entertaining free theatre.

  • Aims

Gods And Monsters Theatre Limited aims to:

    • To advance education for the public benefit by the promotion of the arts, in particular but not exclusively, the art of drama.
    • To actively encourage participation in the arts from those with low cultural engagement
    • To advance accessibility in the arts
    • To work with youth from low-socioeconomic backgrounds at risk or have experience a range of social exclusions by the means of theatrical engagement
