BFIRST supports projects across some of the poorest countries in the world to train surgeons in their local environment to effectively manage devastating injuries.

    BFIRST's mission is to train surgeons working in some of the poorest countries in the world. Through reconstructive plastic surgery, we aim to release some of the world's most vulnerable children and adults from a state of poverty caused by a deformity or disability. Untreated burns frequently result in severe deformity and disfigurement, and a line of destitution and marginalisation.
