Race Equality Foundation

We change, to this end we have undertaken ground breaking research such as our study of black and minority ethnic disabled young people’s experience of independence and independent living. We have used evidence to deploy effective solutions, such as our Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities (SFSC) inclusive parent education programme. We use a range of channels to disseminate our evidence and solutions, including our unique better-health and better-housing websites.

Founded 1995

  • Mission statement

Race Equality Foundation is a dynamic and forward thinking Charity that promotes race equality in social support (what families and friends do for each other) and public services (what 'workers' do with people who need support). We do this by exploring what is known about discrimination and disadvantage, and to use this evidence to develop interventions that overcome and break down barriers to, and promote race equality in health, housing and social care.

  • Aims

    Race Equality Foundation aims to:

    • Promote race equality in social support and in public services.
