To provide a youth club that offers social/physical/educational opportunities that meets the needs of Disabled young people aged 11-25 living in barking and Dagenham. We offer two youth sessions a week alongside offsite trips and residential weeks away and D of E expeditions.

    That all disabled children and young people in Barking and Dagenham are able to express what they want and are offered opportunities to be involved in decision making, resulting in their voices being listened to and acted on.

  • Aims

    Barking And Dagenham Ab Phab Youth Club aims to:

    • Provide a safe and inclusive space for Ab Phab members to enjoy and participate in sports, leisure, arts, social and recreational activities.
    • Pro-actively encourage Disabled and non-Disabled young people to actively compete, participate and enjoy activities together.
    • Work to remove barriers that some perceive to be in the way in helping Disabled young people achieve their aims, whether it’s improved health outcomes, socialising with friends or sporting success.
    • Through our participation strategy offer inclusive programmes that involves and meets the needs of disadvantaged young people in Barking and Dagenham, who may otherwise become disfranchised and social
    • Work collaboratively with our local, regional and national partners to increase measurable outcomes of our service users.
