Support 4 Sight

Supporting over 4,000 people in Mid & West Essex who have been diagnosed with sight loss. From desks in all the hospitals in our area we meet people with sight loss and provide them with information and advice to ensure they are not overwhelmed by the devastation of their diagnosis, we arrange home visits to assist with making their homes safe and ensuring they can maintain their independence as much as possible and we also run a full range of social activities to keep them socially engaged.

  • Aims

    Support 4 Sight aims to:

    • To promote the better education, training, employment and welfare of Blind and partially sighted people
    • To work with local, district and county councils, CCG's and optometrists to improve eye health in the community
    • To ensure all people with sight loss in our community do not suffer from social isolation and to provide them with as much opportunity for independence & social engagement as they require
    • To support people with sight loss, their families and carers , with information, advice & equipment in order that they can lead a safe & healthy lifestyle & maintain as much normality as possible.
