COCO (Comrades of Children Overseas) is a small NGO based in North East England. Our vision is world where every child has access to good quality education, providing them with with the best possible chance of breaking the cycle of poverty.

We do this by partnering with remote communities in East Africa to establish Schools for Life. COCO's first partner school, Hoja Secondary in Tanzania, has achieved the top results in the region for five consecutive years.

    • To ensure children living in remote regions of the developing world have access to quality education.
    • To empower communities to be able to lift themselves out of poverty by providing small loans and sustainable agriculture training.
    • To ensure Schools for Life are sustainable, so communities don't become reliant on external funding.
