  • Mission statement

ABC’s mission is to provide free living essentials and support for integration into the local community to Asylum-seekers and Refugees in Bristol, who have been referred by range of local and national sources. We view ourselves as a giant ‘aid box,’ providing clothing, food and other essentials through Free Shops and supporting integration by providing volunteering opportunities, signposting, training and a friendly welcome.

The charity was developed after a group of volunteers spent a year on the Dunkerque refugee camp in France and coordinated a team of volunteers the ground daily to deliver basic humanitarian relief to thousands of displaced people from around the world. ABC carried out and coordinated the collection, delivery and distribution of aid from the UK to France weekly. Aid Box Community continue to send donated aid to France on a monthly basis.
