The Bristol Early Years Teaching Consortium (BEYTC) is a Teaching School made up of two outstanding Nursery Schools and Children’s Centres, each with National Teaching School status. We provide teacher training, continued professional development and leadership development to the Early Years sector in Bristol.

    Our focus is to develop sector led improvement through innovation, collaboration partnership, most specifically in the 6 areas that are required of National Teaching Schools:
    • The development of high quality teaching, learning and leadership
    • The training of new teachers
    • Peer to peer learning and professional development
    • The designation and deployment of Specialist Leaders of Education ( SLEs)
    • The identification, nurturing and management of leadership potential
    • Research and development that puts evidence at the heart of practice

  • Aims

    Bristol Early Years Teaching Consortium aims to:

    • The advancement of education of children by providing education and training and developing the skills of practitioners of Early Years education.
    • The advancement of education and the training of practitioners of Early Years education.
    • The promotion of social inclusion among children and their families who are socially excluded from society as a result of their social and economic position.
