Founded in 1982, ORG works to end violent conflict by developing and promoting alternative approaches that are sustainable and enduring. Through our evidence-based research, dialogue and advocacy, we aim to improve global stability and prevent violent conflict.

    Our vision is of a world in which effective, non-violent measures are taken to transform conflicts and promote human security. By developing and promoting policies that are accountable, sustainable and effective, we work to transform the way people think about security, moving away from militarism and towards rights, justice and the prevention of conflict.

  • Aims

    Oxford Research Group aims to:

    • Researching and highlighting the costs, effectiveness and impact of defence and security policies and military deployments and operations.
    • Increasing the transparency and accountability of defence and security decision-making.
    • Promoting foreign, defence, development, energy and other policies that prioritise conflict prevention and responsible global citizenship.
    • Creating safe and trusted spaces for dialogue on conflict transformation and resolution.
